Motivating Behavior

I believe storytelling is one of the most powerful human skills we possess. And as AI continues to assume more of the repeatable tasks in nearly every industry, the ability to communicate in meaningful, human ways will become even more valuable. In fact, what used to be considered a “soft skill” is quickly becoming a required—and very hard—skill.

Storytelling isn’t just for campfires or awkward family reunions. It’s one of the most effective tools we have for building trust, strengthening relationships, and influencing decisions. And in business, relationships drive everything.

Transactional Storytelling goes beyond simply sharing a good story. It’s about intentionally using stories to motivate behavior. The goal isn’t just to entertain your audience—it’s to move them from a passive state to an active one.

Right now, your stories live in your memory. Over time they fade, drift, and lose clarity. Through my 3D Story Cadence System, you’ll learn how to extract, refine, and engineer those experiences into powerful communication tools—stories that increase your influence, strengthen your relationships, and expand your impact with every audience you engage.

3D Story Cadence System

Engineering a story to become transactional doesn’t happen by chance. It requires a deliberate process. That process is built around three distinct phases of the 3D Story Cadence System: Discover, Develop, and Deliver.

Discover

The first step is learning how to recognize your most valuable stories. Not every story is transactional, but many of your most powerful experiences already contain the ingredients. By sharpening your story lens, you’ll learn how to identify, classify, and capture the stories that have the potential to influence behavior.

Develop

Once a story is identified, we engineer it for impact. Using the cadence framework, we shape the structure and rhythm of the story so it engages both sides of the listener’s brain—the analytical and the creative. During this phase, we intentionally design the transactional elements that give the story its ability to influence decisions and motivate action.

Deliver

A powerful story only works when it’s used at the right moment. In the delivery phase, you’ll learn when and where to deploy your power stories and how to present them with clarity, confidence, and purpose. When delivered correctly, these stories don’t just entertain—they activate your audience and inspire them to take action.
